This is a modern adaptation of the ancient Chinese art of cupping therapy.
By creating a suction or vacuum, cupping therapy is used to draw out the inflammation from deep within the tissues, increasing blood flow and allowing fresh oxygen and nutrients into the tissues, as well as freeing up any adhesions or scar tissue.
Cupping works well in assisting the lymphatic system to move waste fluids from the body. This therapy works well for clients who have had surgeries, joint replacements or an injury; by assisting the body in the natural healing process and reducing swelling.
